Strasbourg cases on Greek hotspots

Below you can find an overview, as of 16 January 2026, of the various cases before the European Court of Human Rights related to Greek hotspots (pre-Closed Controlled Access Centre). The list is divided into three sections: judgments with a finding of a violation (21), cases dismissed and struck off the list (34), as well as pending cases (23). There are 78 in total.

This list was created using the HUDOC database and are therefore limited to those applications that have already been decided or that were communicated by the Court. There may be cases that I have missed in my search but I believe that the list is more or less complete.
